Hi folks, have you thought of joining for daily art or a draw-together gathering?

What usually happens in the gatherings: On Google Meets or another provider, I share a YouTube still of an animal (often a bird) or a person. We each draw or otherwise create a version of it. You can choose to be on or off camera, and it’s always a low-key, low-pressure session.

For the video above (visible to paid subscribers), we were drawing the character Zach (Graham Phillips) in the CBS show The Good Wife, pictured at the bottom of this post.

Climbing Grasses is a reader-supported publication. To receive goodies (new posts, miniprints or cards, videos, draw-together sessions) and support my work as well as supplement the income of my retired dad, consider becoming a free or paid subscriber.

Hope you’ll join sometime! If you’re lurking, feel free to reply and say you have an interest and may drop in at some point. Also, tell me if there’s something or someone you want to draw.

In other videos I’ll talk about techniques we can opt to try out. But, for the most part, we’re motivating one another and relaxing.

Upcoming draw-togethers will be available to paid Substack subscribers and/or Patreon subscribers.

Hope you’re having a good day! :)
