Lighting up the creative mind
Last Friday’s Draw Together was a success and there’ll be others.
We each drew, doodled and played with a parrot image from a YouTube still. The bird lives in a feral colony in Stuttgart, Germany and appeared in a nature documentary from the company Terra Mater.
I don’t have copies of the other work from our session, but maybe I can share some of them later.
Playing was a great way to free up our thinking for art or other work during the week. The Draw Together series is part of my work to light up the creative mind. At the same time, my fundraising skills are helping me to organize my art side business.
The link for this Friday’s Draw Together is viewable (below) by paid subscribers.
But if you’re a free subscriber or saw my newsletter and would like to participate, reply to this message and ask for the link. (Please keep in mind: Substack can experience delays sending replies to emails, so try to let me know a day or so in advance, if you can.)
Hope you’ll join us soon!
Thank you for your time and support. I am grateful to my subscribers and followers; it is because of you that my publication has come this far. If you like my work and haven’t yet subscribed to Climbing Grasses, please consider doing so. You’ll be taking part in a worthy fundraiser — half of your subscription (after Substack’s fee is removed) supports a fund for my dad, who lives on reduced Social Security income as a widower.
Benefits: Refer anyone who signs up for a three-plus month paid subscription and receive cards and stickers of my illustrations. Or sign up yourself for three-plus months of a paid subscription and receive even more cards and stickers. Hope to see you in a Draw Together session or elsewhere soon.
