Coyote at the cemetery sketch at Denver airport, summer 2021, my first flight during the pandemic. Firmly masked (and this was still required). Drawing based on a coyote seen at the cemetery near my home. One of the earlier “comic-style” characters I developed. Note the orange Nissan Leaf at left. Always a fave of mine.

Thank you to my four new paid subscribers! Half of your subscription (after Substack’s fee is removed) supports a fund for my dad, who lives on reduced Social Security income as a widower.
What have you done or learned lately? At a recent conference, we learned women are often in charge of philanthropy plans because they live longer, and we heard the transformative story of a fundraiser in Philadelphia who pioneered connecting financial funds and planned giving so that her organization is now the third largest funder of projects in the world. Also saw very nice butterfly gardens lately, one at the conference site and the other at a state park yesterday. And have a new Malabar spinach in a pot on the porch.
Have a good Monday!
Quick reminder: Refer anyone who signs up for a three-plus month paid subscription and receive cards and stickers of my illustrations.
